make this MVP please I want a weekly status update on everything happening at the company, drawn from GitHub and Asana primarily but probably including other sources over time. With summaries and drilldowns. But I don’t want it formatted some deterministic way, I want the equivalent of a deep research report written against the update…chasing down open questions…really digging in…
Next.js Dashboard: Provide a frontend interface to display summaries, drilldowns, and visualizations, with real-time updates via server-side rendering or API calls.
This setup delivers a weekly status update tool with:
Automated data pulls from GitHub and Asana.
LLM-generated summaries with drilldown capabilities.
A Next.js dashboard for visualization, aligning with Shear’s vision.
I'll create an MVP for your weekly status update system that generates deep research reports from GitHub and Asana data. This will be a comprehensive dashboard with LLM-powered analysis and drilldown capabilities.
I've created a comprehensive MVP for your weekly status intelligence system! Here's what I've built:
Deep Research Reports: LLM-powered analysis that goes beyond simple metrics to provide investigative insights, correlations, and strategic recommendations.
Multi-Source Integration: Ready for GitHub and Asana APIs with extensible architecture for additional sources.
Interactive Dashboard: Clean, professional interface with drilldown capabilities across summary, metrics, analysis, and action items.
Intelligent Analysis: Uses GPT-4 to generate executive summaries, identify patterns, surface concerns, and provide strategic recommendations.
The system is designed to be your "investigative business analyst" - it doesn't just show you what happened, but digs into why it happened and what it means for your business strategy.
To configure the generation, complete these steps:
And so I don't want it to be formatted in a deterministic way. I basically want it to be equivalent of a deep research report, where the update is written out and different sentences have pop-up citations. Or people can also have pop-up citations, the metrics can be clicked, and it's super interactive to use so that you can chase down open questions. Maybe every sentence has the ability to be expanded and or questioned, so make a pop-up where it has expand and the other one is like a chat, or like another icon that you can click and it opens up a chat that you can talk to on that and ask questions. Ideally, you could create sources, but just make the UI for this while maintaining it as simple and clean as possible, obviously, but build out all of these features.
I'll transform this into an interactive research report format where every element can be explored, questioned, and expanded. This will feel like reading a deep investigative report with rich interactivity.
I've completely transformed the dashboard into an interactive research report format! Here's what I've built:
📝 Narrative Format: Reports are now written as investigative research documents, not structured sections
🔗 Interactive Citations: Every citation [1], [2], etc. can be clicked for detailed source information with type badges and external links
👥 Person Mentions: Names like @Sarah Chen show rich hover cards with activity, metrics, and role information
📊 Metric Interactions: Numbers and metrics display detailed breakdowns, trends, and context on hover
💬 Sentence-Level Chat: Every sentence has expand/question buttons that open contextual AI chat dialogs
🔍 Expandable Content: Sentences can be expanded to show deeper analysis and methodology
[1] for source details with GitHub/Asana/Analysis badges@Name for activity cards with commits, tasks, and impact metricsThe result feels like reading a deeply researched intelligence report where you can investigate every claim, question every conclusion, and drill down into any data point - all while maintaining a clean, professional reading experience.
