Vercel KV is a serverless Redis-compatible key-value database that's now powered by Upstash and integrated into the Vercel Marketplace 1. It's designed for storing and retrieving data with ultra-low latency at the edge.

Current Status

Important Migration Update: The transition of Vercel KV for Pro and Hobby customers is complete 1. The service is now fully integrated into the Vercel Marketplace, powered by Upstash. You can provision and manage KV stores directly from your Vercel Dashboard 1.

For Enterprise customers currently using Vercel KV, you should reach out to your account manager or customer success manager to discuss available migration options 1.

Pricing and Usage

When using Vercel KV, you'll be charged for 3:

• KV Requests: Charges for reading and writing data to the KV store
• KV Storage: Charges for storing data in the KV store
• KV Data Transfer: Data movement charges for fetching data from the KV store

Best Practices

1. Use appropriate key naming: Use prefixes to organize your data (e.g., user:123, cart:456)
2. Set expiration times: Use SETEX or EXPIRE for temporary data like sessions
