Design a family calendar. Make it friendly for both adults and children. At the top of the calendar show the weather and the time. Allow showing calendar events as a daily view, weekly view and monthly view. Show family members at the top of the calendar as avatars. The avatars can be selected as filters so you can highlight events where the selected avatars are attentees. Events in the calendar can be clicked to show a panel with the event details. Events can be drag dropped to different times and days. The default view is weekly showing 4 days at a time. Each day is a column with the event bubbles. Each event bubble shows the event title, the time span (e.g., 2 - 3:30pm) and small avatars for the attendees. Each day column has the day in format "Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun" with the day number, for example "Fri 14" and after that is an "+ Add Event" button. There is also an option for expanded mode and compact mode, expanded mode shows events bubbles vertically aligned with the time of day showing the gaps between events and the compact mode removes the gaps between event bubbles.
