I am hoping to build a tool that allows scientists to gather competitive intelligence from other pharmaceutical companies, biotechs or startups thatmigh be working on a drug or therapeutic intervention that is similar to something they areplannign on working on. I would liek the tool to pull information from sources like news articles, press releases from competitor websites, and conference posters and abstracts, as well as clinical trials (clinicaltrials.gov). I would like all of the data sources to be filterable via drop down menu. As inputs the scientist would be required to enter their intervention strategy. This usually entails entering a traget (usually a protein or gene) an indication (disease or side effeect) and the direction or type of intervention (drug, small molecule, therapeutic antibody). The type of intervention might also be indicated simply by suggesting the target is knowked up or down.
the tool should display a readout summary of all interventions currently being explored in the clinica (which is the final stage a drug intervention can reach), as well as all leading indicators (things like conferenc eposters, press releases are all early indicators that have less significance for the scientist user, but are still relevant to know.
At the top of the screen there should be a summary of the progress of all known trials and interventions across competitors. It would also be good to include a readout of the name of the company who is leasing the intervention (examples might include other pharma companies like Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer and Merck).
I'll help you build a competitive intelligence tool for pharmaceutical research. This will be a comprehensive dashboard that allows scientists to track competitor interventions and clinical trials.
I've created a comprehensive pharmaceutical competitive intelligence tool that meets your requirements. Here's what the tool includes:
The tool provides both high-level strategic overview and detailed tactical intelligence, allowing scientists to quickly assess the competitive landscape and identify potential conflicts or opportunities in their research areas.
modify the competitor overview section such that instead of listing conmpanies across as a row, it instead gives results as a pyramid, whereby the most important and relevant data about which targets are going to humans is at the top. This means Phase III clinical trials first, phase 2 second, phase 1 first, then conference posters and abstracts, then press releases or news articles. Make the type of information filterable in this section, and when you filter it only shows those sources as a multiselect checbox (so that a user can apply clinical trials phase 1 and cliincal trials phase 2 only, for example)
Similarly add a section below this that breaks down the comapnies, and ranks them in order of most active clinical trials in the applied filters above. This means that if the company has 1 phase 3 clinical trials, that should come before a company that has 10 phase 1 clinical trials.
Add a section to show how many clinical trials have been aborted from each company as well.
When you access the information within a company, include information on teh number of arms in the clinical trial, the direction of change for the protein following the intervention, the effect size. For all clinical trials include information on any risks that are flagged in the clinical trial
I've completely restructured the tool to meet your requirements:
The tool now provides a much more sophisticated view of competitive intelligence, prioritizing the most clinically relevant information while allowing scientists to drill down into specific companies and understand both their successes and failures in drug development.
